Past Retreat Reviews
"Thank you for the wonderful afternoon retreat! Was so lovely to have time to connect with Stella. You spoiled us with food, take home bags full of strategies and hands on calming tools, and reminding us how important it is to slow down and find that little bit of deeper connection with our kiddos (and ourselves!)” J.P.
“Maple loved doing this with mom. Partner yoga was her favourite. I liked the colouring and the guided meditation.
Muffins were a hit!” M.R.
"My daughter and I had a wonderful experience at the family retreat in August. Not only did the retreat allow time for my daughter and I to connect, we took home many useful mindful strategies we could apply to day to day challenges. These were strategies my 6 year old was eager to apply as well. Throughout the retreat activities, Joanne's experience and passion for mindful teaching shines through. I noticed the children remained calm throughout the afternoon. I would highly recommend trying out one of Joanne's retreats and I'm already looking forward to the next!" J.N.
“Everly really liked your analogy about flipping your lid. We’ve used it a couple of times already and it really resonates with her when she’s losing her cool.” J.N.

Certified Meditation Teacher, Children’s Yoga & Mindfulness Teacher,
Mindfulness Facilitator, & Public School Education Teacher (Masters of Education)
As a teacher in the public education system for over 30 years, I have seen an increasing need for providing kids with tools to cope with big feelings and busy minds. As a parent, I understand the value of a shared commitment to helping our children physically, mentally, and emotionally. Building connections and nurturing cooperative opportunities for kids and the important adults in their lives shows our children how much we care, and how we hear, see, and honor the ups and downs of their world. I am committed to playing my part in providing this feeling of unity for you and your families. It truly does take a village to raise a child.
Yoga: unity of body, mind, spirit within oneself; unity of child, family, community within our world.
